Range Description
This species is known only from the type locality, Presidente Olegário, in Minas Gerais State, Brazil, at 947m asl, although it might occur more widely.
Habitat and Ecology
It occurs on vegetation alongside streams in the Cerrado savannah, and also inhabits gallery forests, but it does not adapt well to anthropogenic disturbance. Breeding takes place in water.

The population status of this species is not known.

The major threats to this species’ habitat are agricultural development (for both crops and livestock), as well as logging and agricultural pollution.

It occurs in the Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural Fazenda Vereda Grande.
Taxonomic Notes
This species was previously within the genus Hyla but has recently been moved to the genus Bokermannohyla (Faivovich et al. 2005).
