Range Description

This recently described species is known only from the type locality of Buon Luoi, 20km west of the town of Kannack, An Khe District, Gia-Lai Province, Viet Nam, although it might occur more widely. It was collected at between 700 and 750m asl.

Habitat and Ecology

This is presumably a lowland forest inhabitant that breeds in streams.

Population

It is known only from the type series.

Major Threats

The threats to this species are not known, although it is likely to be impacted by forest loss due to smallholder farming, logging and human settlement.

Conservation Actions

It is not known if this species occurs in any protected areas.
