From the IUCN Red List Species Account:   Range Description This montane species from south-eastern Brazil occurs in the states of Sao Paulo, extreme south-western Rio de Janeiro, and extreme southern Minas Gerais, from 1,500-2,500m asl. Habitat and Ecology It lives in high-altitude grassy fields with rocks in open areas. Breeding in this species is probably by direct development. Population It is not a common species. Population Trend Decreasing Major Threats Its only threats are likely to be the impacts of tourism and fire on its habitat. Conservation Actions It occurs in several protected areas.
