From the IUCN Red List Species Account:

 

Range Description

This species is known from Antioquia, Risaralda, Valle del Cauca and Choco Departments, on the western flank of the western Andes in Colombia between 1,700 and 2,000m asl.

Habitat and Ecology

It occurs on vegetation away from streams in sub-Andean forests. Its breeding habits have not been observed, although it presumably breeds in streams.

Population

It is a rare species.

Its range includes Parque Nacional de Las Orquídeas and Parque Nacional Natural Tatamá.
