This species is known from the western slopes of the Cordillera Oriental in the departments of Boyaca, Cundinamarca, and Santander, Colombia, from 1,740-2,400m asl.
Habitat and Ecology
It inhabits low level vegetation in very humid cloud forests, and is able to adapt to secondary forest as well as forest edges. Breeding is by direct development.
It is an abundant species.
The major threat to this species is habitat destruction and degradation caused primarily by agricultural development.
Its range includes the Santuario de Fauna y Flora Guanentá Alto Río Fonce, and the Estación Demonstrativo El Rasgon.
