Range Description

This species is known from La Rioja and Catamarca Provinces in north-west Argentina.

Habitat and Ecology

It is presumed to be a larval developer and to breed in water, but there is very little other information on its habitat and ecological requirements.

Taxonomic Notes

This species was resurrected from synonymy of Hyla pulchella by Faivovich et al. (2004). It was previously within the genus Hyla but has recently been moved to the resurrected genus Hypsiboas (Faivovich et al. 2005).
