This species is found in Córdoba and San Luis Provinces, in the highlands of central Argentina.
Habitat and Ecology
There is very little information on its habitat requirements or ecology, although it is presumed to be a larval developing species.
Its population status is not known.
There is no direct information on the threats to this species.
It is not known to occur in any protected areas.
This species was resurrected from the synonymy of Hyla pulchella by Faivovich et al. (2004). It was previously within the genus Hyla but has recently been moved to the resurrected genus Hypsiboas (Faivovich et al. 2005).
