This species occurs from south-eastern Michoacán, east to Morelos, in central Mexico.
Habitat and Ecology
It inhabits pine forest areas and requires abundant rocks and leaf-litter, and breeds by direct development.
This is not a common species, but there is very little recent information on its population status.
Disturbance and transformation of the original forest due to the expansion of urbanised areas is a serious threat to this species.
This species is protected by Mexican law under the "Special Protection" category (Pr).
