Known only from the central coastal portion of Cape York Peninsula in Queensland. The area of occurrence of the species is approximately 48000 km2.

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
Open grassland. Summer breeder. Males call after heavy rainfall whilst floating in temporary, shallow puddles in grassy depressions. Spawn and tadpoles are unknown.
