North-eastern and north-central Queensland. The extent of occurrence of the species is approximately 84400 km2

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
Inhabits forests, woodland and savanna dominated by Iron Bark and Bloodwood. These areas have a grassy understorey and are generally flood after rain. Breeds in the wet season in depressions temporarily flooded. Males call from the bases of Triodia tussocks. Breeding and larvae are unknown.

Trends and Threats
No known declines and extent of occurrence over 20,000km2.
