East Kimberley region of Western Australia. Through Victoria River region (NT) to Daly River Basin, NT. Known originally from the Argyle Homestead, which is now submerged by Lake Argyle. The area of occurrence of the species is approximately 11000 km2.

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
Woodland/grassland on cracking clay soils. Near permanent water. Breeding biology unknown.

Trends and Threats
Distribution based on numerous scattered localities in east Kimberley region of Western Australia and north-western Northern Territory. No indication of threats or declines.

Threats
Flooding of Lake Argyle created by a dam. Surveys have failed to relocate it in the area.

Conservation Measures
None in place.
