Description
A medium-sized, slender, spotted Kassina from the central part of West Africa (Ivory Coast and Ghana) with long and slender arms and legs. 33-46 large spots on flanks and dorsum. Belly always dark with black punctuations and larger spots. Two large occipital spots. Throat of males with black spots. Gular flap of males narrow and straight. Central part of belly granular (Perret 1985; Rödel et al. 2002).

Most of Ivory Coast, except the western part, and Ghana. Seems to be restricted to forested habitats, often secondary forest.

Possible reasons for amphibian decline

Habitat modification from deforestation, or logging related activities
Intensified agriculture or grazing
Urbanization
