South-east Queensland, south through New South Wales and into mid-Victoria. The extent of occurrence of the species is approximately 620200 km2.

Life History, Abundance, Activity, and Special Behaviors
Often beneath debris at the edge of swamps and ponds. Breeding takes place in mid-winter and tadpoles take 11 – 12 weeks to develop.

Large extent of occurrence.

Threats
Habitat loss and degradation through urban development.
